Patti was amazing... 5 stars all the way. The venue, not so.
The venue at Seminole Casino - Coconut Creek, Fla, was basically a large raised stage and rows and rows of chairs on a flat parking lot. No stadium style. So, with a big head in front of me, I couldn't see anything. On each side of the stage were giant projection screens -- which presumable, would be showing a video of her performing so those in the back, or those stuck behind giant heads, could see something. Instead it just showed "Patti Labelle" in graphics. Eventually I just left my seat and stood in the back so I could see something.
But, Patti was amazing. She still has the voice. The energy, The personality, The engagement with the crowd, all top notch.
